A: Every team is guaranteed three (3) games, 2 pool play games then everyone will advance to bracket play.
Q: Can we use our own wood bats?
A:
Yes, the All-American Wood Bat Classic tournament will allow your team
to play with your own wood bats and your team will also have the
opportunity to pre-order wood bats at a discounted price. (Pre-order
only)
Q: When will the All-American Wood Bat Classic begin?
A: The event will begin on Friday, May 28, 2010.
Q: Is the All-American Wood Bat Classic a sanctioned event?
A: Yes, the event is a Nations Baseball Qualifier. (www.nations-baseball.com)
Q: What day will the All-American Wood Bat Classic "Clash of Champions" Championship games be played?
A: Monday, May 31, 2010 - Memorial Day
Q: What are the awards associated with winning this tournament?
A:
The champions in each age division will receive team trophy, individual
awards and one (1) paid berth per class for the 1st place team in the
9U – 14U age divisions to the River City Baseball Classic (September 3
– 6, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida).
Q: Is it important that we attend the Coaches Meeting?
A:
Yes, it is necessary to check your team in as well as pick up your
team's welcome packet, pre-ordered wood bats, Braves tickets,
pre-ordered t-shirts and review important tournament rules and any
additional pertinent tournament information.
Q: Does this event offer discounted hotel accommodations?
A:
Yes, we have two awesome host hotels at a special All-American
tournament rate of $85 per night. They are four diamond properties with
indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Q: Will there be other activities at the tournament?
A:
Yes, you will have the opportunity to participate in the All-American
Wood Bat Classic "Parade of Dreams” Opening Ceremony at the Atlanta
Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Game (Tickets are $8 per person) and the
AAWBC Team BBQ and Pool Party hosted by the Hilton Atlanta Airport
Hotel (tickets $6 for kids/$8 adults “All-You-Can-Eat”)
